About the event
On October 10, 2025, a new chapter in Las Vegas history will be written. The doors of The Legacy Theatre of Excellence Las Vegas will officially open with a community ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This is more than a ribbon-cutting — it is a historic moment. Broadway in the HOOD will proudly celebrate its 15-year anniversary on this day, alongside the grand opening of The Legacy Theatre — the first Black-owned and operated theatre in Las Vegas.
The Legacy Theatre of Excellence represents resilience, representation, and opportunity. It will stand as a beacon for our community and for generations to come. As the new home of Broadway in the HOOD (Helping Others Open Doors), The Legacy Theatre of Excellence will expand our mission to empower youth and families, create opportunities for artists, and share stories that reflect the richness and diversity of our culture.
