Education combined with passion aids to the empowerment of youth in our community. Unfortunately, many theatre programs in our schools and in our communities are being shut down daily due to lack of funding and the preconceived notion that the “arts” are not important to include in the curriculum.
However, it has been scientifically proven that at-risk youth who have access to theatre programs in or out of school tend to have better academic results, better workforce opportunities, more civic engagement and are more likely to excel and move on to higher education.
Thankfully, Broadway in the H.O.O.D offers a ray of hope in a world where artistic creativity is being stifled on a daily basis. Our goal is to help those be inspired to be an inspiration to others in their schools and neighborhoods.

We want our youth to reach their full potential. In efforts to encourage them to continue their education, Broadway in the H.O.O.D offers scholarships to students every year to ease the financial obligation towards a continued education.
To date, Broadway in the H.O.O.D has awarded well over $10,000 worth of scholarships to youth who have shown their commitment to arts and most importantly their desire to learn.
